Dear Visitor,
I remember publishing my family database on the website A letter from Romsdal way back in the early days of the Internet. Right from the start I had large numbers of hits from Norwegian-American genealogists. Trans-Atlantic bandwith was a very real problem back in 1995-96 and in 1997 I had to get a mirror site in the US. Since June 1998 the US mirror has been right here at tripod.com.
Today a US mirror for the letter seems almost ridiculous and we now have our own domain. Drop in and say hello to us at our new place in Cyberspace. My new genealogy pages are found at http://www.murray.as/genealogy/ and essays and transcripts from local history have moved to http://www.murray.as/glenn/. If you go to http://www.murray.as/ you will find a more detailed description of what has gone where.
Over the years I have been in touch with more than two hundred genealogists from the US and Canada. I have found a large number of relatives and numerous new friends. It is a bit sad to admit this will be the last letter from Romsdal in the old tradition. See you at http://www.murray.as/ !
Sincerely,
Glenn Murray
